Lian Li introduced the Edge Platinum V2 1350W (EG1350P V2), positioning it as the flagship model within its revised Edge power supply lineup. This unit is designed specifically to handle substantial power draw while integrating into high-end PC systems as an internal routing hub.
The power supply meets both ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compliance standards. Certification credentials include 80 PLUS Platinum, Cybenetics Platinum, and PPLP Platinum, and the product is backed by a ten-year warranty.
Structurally, the most distinctive feature is its L-shaped form factor. This design alters the placement of modular connectors, moving them onto an outward-extending platform. This engineering solution targets dual-chamber cases, such as the O11 series, allowing builders to route cables directly from the side of the chassis rather than through the rear. This detail simplifies installation in environments with limited space.
Measuring 182 × 86 × 150 mm, the EG1350P V2 delivers 1350W. It utilizes a single +12V rail, capable of supplying 112.5A for its full output capacity, making it suited for flagship CPUs and graphics cards.
Cooling is managed by a 120mm fluid dynamic bearing fan, which operates at a maximum speed of 2400 RPM. The unit includes a switchable Zero RPM mode. This mode keeps the fan completely stopped until the load surpasses approximately 405W, after which the fan engages automatically. Disabling Zero RPM ensures constant airflow by maintaining continuous fan operation.
Internally, the construction relies on top-tier components, including EPCOS bulk capacitors, and Rubycon, Nichicon, and Nippon Chemi-Con capacitors. The 12V rail utilizes highly efficient 200A MOSFETs, and the soldering quality was reported as excellent throughout the unit.
Accompanying the unit is the Edge Hub ADV, an upgraded magnetic expansion hub. This hub adds real-time thermal monitoring and protection for GPU power cables. NTC sensors measure temperatures on up to two 12V-2×6 GPU cables, and within the hub itself. When paired with Lian Li’s L-Connect 3 software, the hub can monitor and display real-time connector temperatures, triggering an emergency shutdown if any cable overheats. This feature directly addresses safety concerns surrounding 12VHPWR connectors.
Beyond thermal management, the hub retains four USB ports and six PWM channels for managing fans and accessories.
Electrically, the unit delivers low ripple and stable voltage regulation, which reviewers cite as its main strengths. Efficiency analysis showed peak efficiency at around 92% under a 230V input at 50% load. At full load, efficiency measured approximately 92% on 230V and 90% on 115V.
The report did point out two operational drawbacks. First, the acoustic profile under maximum load was described as aggressive. Second, in real-world testing, the unit slightly missed achieving 230V Platinum efficiency targets. Despite these considerations, the combination of reliable electrical performance and its clever physical design makes the EG1350P V2 a highly practical option for demanding enthusiast builds. The 1350W model carries a price point of $259.99.
