ASRock Steel Legend 360 LCD AIO Cooler Details Revealed

The ASRock Steel Legend 360 LCD AIO is an all-in-one liquid CPU cooler designed for compatibility with both Intel and AMD processors. The unit is characterized by a white color scheme, a 360mm radiator, and a large 3.4-inch full-coverage LCD screen.

The 27mm-thick radiator is cooled by three separate pre-installed 120mm Steel Legend fans. These fans are constructed from aerospace-grade LCP materials and utilize industrial-grade dual-ball bearings. They operate without RGB lighting, instead focusing on performance with an airflow of around 76.7 CFM, a maximum speed of 2,500 rpm, and a noise level of approximately 38.3 dBA. The fans are mounted to operate through a single PWM cable, reducing cable bulk during installation.

The CPU waterblock features a large copper base alongside a 3-phase, 6-slot pump powered by a 4-pole motor, which is designed for stronger flow and extended durability. The pump operates between 1,200 and 3,100 rpm and connects to the motherboard via a single 4-pin PWM cable. Additionally, the package includes a tube of ASRock’s Therm-X thermal paste.

An integrated VRM fan is included on the waterblock to help channel airflow toward other motherboard components, such as RAM and VRM/Mosfets. This integrated fan spins at a maximum speed of 3,000 rpm. While it aids in cooling surrounding hardware, the noise from this fan can be distracting to some users.

Connecting the radiator and the waterblock is 450mm of tubing, which provides enough length for flexible waterblock orientation during a PC build. The tubes are manufactured from weather-resistant IIR+EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) materials and are covered with braided sleeves for enhanced durability.

The cooler’s 3.4-inch full-coverage IPS LCD screen offers a resolution of 480×480. The screen attaches using magnetic fixtures and connects to the motherboard’s USB header via a USB-C connector. Users can control the display through the ASRock Polychrome Display software to monitor fan and pump speeds, clock frequencies, utilization, and temperatures.

The software also allows users to customize the screen with personal visuals, images, or animations. The display orientation can be rotated by 90, 180, or 270 degrees to match the system’s build configuration.

Comparatively, the Steel Legend 360 LCD AIO differs from the ASRock Phantom Gaming 360 LCD AIO in several ways. The Phantom Gaming version comes in black, features a thicker 32mm radiator with an LED strip, and includes ARGB fans on a unified frame. The Steel Legend relies on the 27mm radiator and separate, non-RGB cooling fans.

During performance testing using an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor—which has a maximum Turbo boost TDP of 250W—the cooler maintained an average temperature of 80 to 82 degrees Celsius at 100% CPU load, peaking at 81 degrees Celsius.
