Samsung has introduced its newest wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. The new model is described as the company’s best true wireless earbuds to date.

The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro offer several improvements over the previous Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Upgrades include stronger noise-cancelling capabilities, a more balanced sound profile, improved call quality, and solid battery life.

The earbuds deliver a wide, spacious, and clear sound. While the audio quality provides a good listen, it is noted that the sound could be slightly bolder and more exciting.

The audio performance is highly dependent on the device the earbuds are paired with, as they utilize the SSC-UHQ codec. They are specifically optimized for use with Samsung Galaxy smartphones, particularly the Ultra series.

Users who do not own a Galaxy device have little reason to purchase the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, as the best performance requires a Galaxy smartphone. The ecosystem integration is comparable to how AirPods function best with an iPhone.

In terms of physical design and usability, the earbuds offer a comfortable fit. However, the physical controls on the device are noted to still be fiddly to operate.

Despite falling slightly short of the audio levels provided by competitors like the Sony WF-1000XM6 or Status Pro X, the overall package remains a strong effort from Samsung. The combination of impressive noise cancellation, solid battery life, and good call quality provides Galaxy Ultra owners an option they can purchase with confidence.
