Razer has introduced the DeathAdder V4 Pro, an esports-specimen mouse designed for professional-grade performance. It features an ultra-lightweight design, weighing 57g for the White Edition and 58g for the Esports Green Edition. While maintaining the award-winning ergonomic shape favored by professionals, the internals have been overhauled using sustainable materials for greater structural integrity.
The core technology powering the V4 Pro includes the RAZER HYPERSPEED WIRELESS GEN-2 system, an ultra-stable wireless solution boasting over 63% greater efficiency. This system supports a true 8000 Hz polling rate and achieves 37% lower latency compared to previous generations. Complementing this is a redesigned, hemispherical dongle. This larger dongle houses a longer antenna for superior signal strength and includes LED indicators to monitor connection quality, battery life, polling rate, and DPI step, while a weighted base keeps it anchored to the desk.
Performance accuracy is addressed through three major upgrades: the RAZER™ FOCUS PRO 45K OPTICAL SENSOR GEN-2, offering up to 45K DPI, 900 IPS, and 85 G, with 99.8% resolution accuracy. The V4 Pro utilizes RAZER™ OPTICAL MOUSE SWITCHES GEN-4, providing a click lifecycle exceeding 100 million clicks. Furthermore, an RAZER™ OPTICAL SCROLL WHEEL is implemented, noted for being 3.3 times more reliable and durable than mechanical designs.
Beyond primary components, the mouse offers advanced customization features. Users can benefit from the Synapse unified software suite, which allows calibration to individual playstyles. Key features include a smart polling rate switcher, enabling automatic adjustments based on the game being played, and 8 programmable controls for essential commands or complex macros. The physical design includes a smooth-touch finish and 100% PTFE feet, which are larger than those on its predecessor, based on professional feedback.
The V4 Pro provides significant operational longevity, boasting up to 150 hours of battery life at 1000Hz and up to 22 hours at 8000Hz. The connectivity system is further enhanced by Razer HyperShift, which effectively doubles inputs by activating an additional set of custom keybinds and DPI stage. Additional customization options include the ability to adjust lift-off and landing distances with up to 26 levels, and the DPI settings can be imported using the Sensitivity Matcher function.
Reviewers noted that the V4 Pro performed well across various titles, maintaining great performance without erratic behavior, and that its comfortable shape completed the overall experience. The product is available in four color schemes and is currently listed for approximately 179.99 Euros online via the Razer Store.
