AQIRYS Unveils MIRA 2.0 Gaming Keyboard with Major Enhancements

The AQIRYS MIRA 2.0 Gaming Keyboard marks the second generation of the MIRA series, introducing significant upgrades aimed at enhancing the user experience. This new iteration brings notable improvements over its predecessor, focusing on responsiveness, battery longevity, and user convenience.

Among the key enhancements are the new HaiMu Red switches, designed to provide greater responsiveness, particularly beneficial for gaming. The keyboard also features a substantially larger battery, which more than doubles the battery life, whether the RGB lighting is active or not. For travelers, a special compartment for the USB dongle has been integrated, preventing its loss during transport.

Adopting a 65% form factor, the MIRA 2.0 is an ideal choice for users who require more desk space for mouse movements or simply have smaller workspaces. Connectivity is versatile, offering multiple interfaces including a wired mode, a wireless 2.4GHz option, and Bluetooth support across three distinct channels.

This keyboard is specifically aimed at gamers utilizing more compact systems or individuals who frequently travel and desire a genuine mechanical keyboard without compromising performance. It allows users to maintain a premium gaming experience on the go.

The new HaiMu Red switches contribute to faster typing speeds. Additionally, the keyboard boasts a customized “clacky” sound profile, achieved through an internal sound dampening layer. The switches are hot-swappable, offering users flexibility for customization.

As an added bonus, the MIRA 2.0 includes a set of 15 replacement HaiMu Ocean Blue switches. These provide an option for users who might prefer a tactile response on specific keys.

During testing across various titles such as Silent Hill f, Sackboy, Mafia: The Old Country, and Dying Light: The Beast, the shorter travel distance of the switches was observed to significantly aid in response time. While beneficial for gaming, users may require a period of adjustment when using the keyboard for typing documents or other productivity tasks to minimize errors.

Battery improvements are substantial, with the keyboard now powered by a 1450mAh battery. The usage time with RGB lighting enabled has more than doubled compared to the previous version, now reaching approximately 19 hours. With RGB lighting turned off, the keyboard can operate for an impressive 80 hours.

Multi-device compatibility is ensured not only through its wireless capabilities but also its wired connection and the provision of three Bluetooth channels, allowing seamless switching between devices.

One aspect noted for potential improvement is the absence of a battery indicator, accessible either via keyboard shortcuts or a software graphical user interface. This feature could be a valuable addition in a future firmware or software tool update.

Consistent with AQIRYS’ reputation for competitive pricing, the MIRA 2.0 is available in the Romanian market for approximately 74 Euros. It can also be purchased from Shop.Aqirys.com for about 75 Euros.
