The UPERFECT GR14BU is a 14-inch OLED touchscreen monitor marketed for portable use. While its branding includes the term “Blaze Gaming,” the available specifications indicate it functions primarily as a productivity tool, designed for supplementing a laptop, tablet, or phone.

The GR14BU is part of a renaming initiative by UPERFECT. It represents the touch version of the former 14-inch UColor O2 mini, which has been separated into two models: the GR14CU (non-touch) and the GR14BU (touch).

Physically, the monitor features an aluminum chassis, weighing 0.59kg and measuring 7mm at its thickest point. The panel itself is a 14-inch OLED with a 16:10 aspect ratio, offering a native resolution of 2880×1800, which approximates 243 PPI. This pixel density places it in the laptop and tablet usage category.

The screen utilizes glossy glass and covers the area almost edge to edge. Connectivity is handled through two full-featured USB-C ports, each supporting DisplayPort Alt Mode, and one Mini HDMI input. The device includes a pair of 1W speakers, though no headphone output is present.

A single USB-C cable can power the unit and carry both video and touch data, provided the power source supports the necessary DisplayPort Alt Mode, touch input, and adequate wattage. The monitor operates at up to 120Hz at its native resolution when connected via USB-C. Via the Mini HDMI port, the refresh rate is limited to 100Hz.

Despite its function as a travel companion, the GR14BU’s technical specifications present contradictions. The product page claims 500 cd/m², 120% DCI-P3, and a 0.1ms response time. Conversely, the formal specification table lists 109.9% DCI-P3, a 100,000:1 contrast ratio, and a 1ms response time.

Color depth also shows variance. Marketing states 16.7 million colors, but the specification table reports 1.07 billion colors (calculated using 8-bit + FRC). Furthermore, while the marketing material states HDR is unsupported, the monitor accepts an HDR signal.

In terms of color accuracy, one third-party review reported tested values of 100% sRGB, 93% Adobe RGB, 100% P3, and 91% NTSC.

The monitor is currently available through UPERFECT’s US web store for $399.99, marked down from a list price of $629.99. The purchase includes a complete set of accessories: two USB-C to USB-C cables, a Mini HDMI to HDMI cable, a USB-A to USB-C cable, a 30W USB-C power adapter, and VESA thumbscrews. The included power adapter supports USB PD voltage steps up to 20V/1.5A.

Other reviews characterize the GR14BU as a premium portable productivity display with strong image quality and useful touch input. Critics, however, cite the high price, limited screen size, and imperfect HDR performance as drawbacks. For users requiring a secondary display that incorporates touch input and fits into a laptop bag, the monitor is considered a credible option. The panel and touch layer are praised, but the unit is deemed unsuitable for budget users or those seeking a pure gaming display.
