Arctic Xtender VG Case: An Elegant and Powerful Foundation for Premium PC Builds

Arctic has introduced the Xtender VG, a completely redesigned PC case presented as an alternative to its typical cooler releases. Positioned in the premium segment, the Xtender Case features a great look and powerful reverse-rotation fans. It is designed to easily accommodate motherboards up to E-ATX size and offers substantial space for up to two 420mm radiators without appearing overly bulky.

The case is available in black, white, and mirrored finishes, covering several popular color choices and providing a strong starting point for custom PC builds.

The Xtender Case falls between the size of a mid-tower and a full-tower, measuring 529 x 529 x 231 mm externally, resulting in a volume of 64 liters. While large, its dimensions are not excessively so. The exterior design is noted as a simple, elegant cuboid with straight edges, deliberately lacking embellishments or eye-catching contours. Its empty weight of over 15 kg suggests that substantial amounts of steel were utilized in its construction, providing a robust foundation for a high-quality PC setup.

In terms of internal compatibility, the Xtender Case can house all desktop motherboards, ranging from Mini-ITX to E-ATX, and supports widths up to 285mm. Furthermore, its generous height of 53cm provides ample space, particularly above the motherboard, allowing for radiators up to 420mm or three 140mm fans.

One key feature is the pre-installation of hardware. To the right of the motherboard tray, the case features three 140mm high-performance reverse fans equipped with A-RGB lighting. These fans pull fresh air from the rear via a dust filter and operate at speeds of up to 2650 RPM. Alternatively, a radiator up to 420mm can be mounted in this spot. The case also supports the installation of an air cooler up to 171mm in height. Air is then expelled by two pre-installed P12 Pro A-RGB fans, which operate in a speed range from 600 to 3000 RPM.

The Xtender case integrates RGB elements across multiple components. All five fans are equipped with integrated RGB LEDs, and the Arctic logo on the acrylic panel covering the power supply is illuminated by 24 RGB LEDs.

Although the Xtender Case is sizable, its dimensions contribute to an overall elegant, premium aesthetic. This structure offers a high-quality PC case that comes equipped with five high-performance A-RGB fans, three of which utilize reverse rotation. The provided package value is highlighted by noting that buying the necessary fans and a GPU riser separately would cost more than purchasing the Xtender VG case with these specific accessories.

In practical testing, the Xtender case performed well. Assembly was described as hassle-free, and during operation, the case proved to be particularly quiet while maintaining excellent airflow. The interior allows for unobstructed viewing from two sides, enabling RGB components to create a prominent and impressive light show.
