Sharkoon, a hardware and peripherals company based in Germany since 2003, released the SKILLER SGM70W mouse. The device weighs 49 g and utilizes a fully solid shell.
Despite appearing ambidextrous at first glance, the SKILLER SGM70W is classified as a right-handed ergonomic design. This is due to the left side having a much deeper recession than the right one, which remains largely flat, creating a thumb groove. In terms of build quality, the device reportedly has no rattle, the side buttons cannot be actuated by pressing below them, and minimal creaking when applying lateral pressure.
The SKILLER SGM70W features PixArt’s PAW3395 sensor, which boasts a capability of 26,000 CPI. It uses Huano switches rated for 100 million actuations for the main buttons.
Regarding connectivity, the mouse supports polling rates of 1000, 4000, and 8000 Hz. Sharkoon cites battery life of up to 70 hours at 1000 Hz and up to 23 hours at 8000 Hz. Adjustments for CPI steps and polling rate are available through on-device configuration, as the device does not include software.
In terms of physical features, the SKILLER SGM70W is noted for its glass-made feet, which are stated to offer superior durability compared to standard PTFE feet. It also includes a set of black-dyed PTFE replacement feet.
For the switches, the main buttons utilize Huano green transparent shell, white plunger variety switches. Side buttons use small 2-pin, low-profile switches from TTC. The scroll wheel encoder is a TTC
