PCCooler’s CPS RZ620M X CPU cooler offers a compact dual-tower design, representing an effort to make a smaller version of the acclaimed RZ620. The cooler maintains the styling cues and ease of installation of its predecessor while widening its compatibility. The ‘M’ in the name denotes the mini design, aiming for space-consciousness.
This beefy, yet compact, cooler features six 6mm-diameter copper heat pipes that draw heat from a nickel-plate copper base into two stacks of aluminum fins. It is designed to fit a variety of setups, covering mainstream Intel users (LGA115x through LGA1851) and AMD users (AM4 and AM5).
In terms of size, the RZ620M X measures 94mm front to back, 104mm side to side, and 118.5mm overall height, making it significantly more compact than larger dual-tower coolers. Between the fin stacks, the cooler incorporates a 100mm fan that operates on ball bearings. The fan’s RPM range is 1000 to 3000 at maximum PWM call. At 3000 RPM, the fan achieves 54.2CCFM, 2.92 mmH2O, and 32.5 dB(A).
The cooler also features an ARGB display cover, which simplifies fan mounting and is powered by a 4-pin 5VDC connector. The design elements, including evenly spaced fins and triangular arrow markings, contribute to a consistent aesthetic theme. The available colors include black and white options.
At $45.99, the RZ620M X provides an affordable option for air-cooled CPU solutions. It comes with three years of coverage against major damage or a dead/dying fan. However, testing noted that while thermal results were decent, the cooler generated significant noise. Under heavy stress, the noise level reached 56 dB, which was described as highly audible even through headphones. The product is positioned for users with limited air-cooled options who need a space-saving solution, despite the high noise cost.
