Google’s support for sharing files using Android’s Quick Share with Apple’s AirDrop is continuing to expand to more Android phones. Initially launched on the Pixel 10 series, the feature has gradually appeared on other devices. Following the Pixel 10 series, support expanded to the Pixel 9 series and subsequently to the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. More recently, Samsung implemented the feature on the Galaxy S25 series through the One UI 8.5 update.
Most recently, the support has expanded significantly beyond the Pixel and Samsung ecosystems. Two new models, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra and the Vivo X300 Ultra, have confirmed support for AirDrop over Quick Share. The Oppo Find X9 Ultra now supports the feature, which was previously teased by Oppo. Using the latest updates, users can now enable AirDrop file sharing on the Find X9 Ultra. This allows the device to see a nearby iPhone when set to “Everyone” mode, and file sharing works in the opposite direction as well. Similarly, the Vivo X300 Ultra has reportedly gained support for AirDrop over Quick Share, an update that was not previously mentioned by Vivo.
The availability of this feature suggests that Android is moving toward broader interoperability. For the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, the Quick Share settings now display a banner confirming that AirDrop file sharing is available, along with a quick guide on its usage. This guide details that enabling AirDrop on an iPhone and setting its visibility to ‘Everyone’ for 10 minutes will make the iPhone appear in the Quick Share menu on the Android device. Furthermore, files can be received by setting the Android device’s visibility appropriately. This recent expansion suggests that the feature is moving beyond just Google and Samsung flagships.
