The TRYX STAGE liquid CPU cooler has entered the market, following the release of two previously well-liked All-In-One (AIO) coolers from the manufacturer. The new unit successfully lives up to the established reputation of its predecessors, delivering strong overall results alongside a few minor setbacks.
In terms of cooling performance, the STAGE cooler achieved the best idle temperatures recorded on the current test bed. During load tests, the cooler’s thermal performance positioned it squarely in the middle of the testing pack.
The acoustic profile of the cooler mirrors its load performance, with noise output also landing in the middle of the pack. The system maintains solid cooling performance across multiple fan speeds and noise levels, offering users a maximized noise-to-performance ratio.
The installation process for the TRYX STAGE is straightforward, aligning with the setup expectations of most modern AIOs. The system also benefits from reduced cable clutter originating from the fans, which serves as a welcome feature during assembly.
The overall build quality of the cooler is high, though it is slightly hindered by a specific hardware issue. The magnets responsible for holding the display stage in place present a minor setback, prompting hopes that TRYX will address the easy fix before it becomes a larger problem for users.
Visually, the cooler features a unique “stage” design that incorporates dual 4-inch displays. This configuration aims to help the system look visually appealing while effectively maintaining lower operating temperatures.
Despite the unique physical design, the displays are heavily held back by a lack of preset animations. The unit ships with only four options from the factory, one of which is completely non-functional. This is a noticeable reduction compared to previous TRYX coolers, which featured over a dozen out-of-the-box animations.
As a workaround to the limited factory options, custom animations can be utilized. Generating custom prompts through platforms like MidJourney allows for the creation of new animations that successfully match the intended aesthetic of the dual-screen stage design.
Overall, the TRYX STAGE adds a good-looking and good-performing AIO to the company’s lineup. Priced at $209.99, the cooler earns a final review score of 8 out of 10.
